WATER SAFETY  DAY for
DEAF OR HARD OF HEARING CHILDREN

On July 18, 2009, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services sponsored  a “Water Safety” program for deaf or hard of hearing children. This was a FREE program made available through the Katelyn Foundation and the New Port Richey Recreation Center. Taught by certified instructors, this class was held on Saturday morning. Several sign language interpreters were on site to assist with the teaching. The turnout was excellent and everyone learned a lot about water safety while enjoying a great day in the water.
